Would you like to be part of a team that makes a real difference?

Meon Valley Heartstart is a dynamic voluntary group that provides emergency life saving skills training free-of-charge to schools, community groups and members of the public.  Since established, we have trained more than 36,000 people across southern Hampshire – all of this training and the management and administration of it is provided by volunteers.

Our volunteers come from various backgrounds; business personnel, teachers, nurses, ambulance crews, first aiders, unemployed and retired.  You can decide where, when and how much time you commit.

Our expansion means that we are looking for more volunteers to help us get this essential training to as many people as possible.

An invaluable role supporting our qualified trainers while they present the training sessions – no previous experience is necessary; training will be provided and full support given.

Training in schools is an essential part of our work.  Equipping young people with life saving skills makes a massive difference to their confidence when faced with an emergency situation.

We are seeking a coordinator who will help us reach more schools and schedule in training courses for their pupils and staff (and sometimes parents too!), as well as continuing communications with our existing schools so that we can deliver refresher training on a regular basis.

If you have an understanding of schools, are able to be proactive and have good organisational and communication skills, we'd love to hear from you.  This is a home working opportunity with regular contact with other Heartstart Team members through email and telephone, and occasional face to face meetings as required.

Do you have skills in communications, writing articles, designing posters, using social media and speaking to members of the public?

We require an enthusiastic person to join the team to help raise awareness of Meon Valley HeartStart across Hampshire.  This can be a shared role if required, and we estimate around 2-3 hours per week would be ideal.

Full training will be given, so if you are reasonably IT literate and would like to make a difference to our organisation, we'd really love to hear from you.  Work will include updating our website, writing articles for local publications, attending fetes and other local events, posting and sharing details of our courses on Facebook, designing posters for courses, and other opportunities to improve our visibility across Hampshire.
